Wonju City to Launch Nation's First Para Taekwondo Team Established by a Local Government
Jin Cheonsu to Be Appointed as the First Head Coach
Wonju City in Gangwon Province is set to appoint Jin Cheonsu as the inaugural head coach of the Wonju City Hall Para Taekwondo Team, which is about to be established.
This year in April, the city secured a budget for the launch of the Para Taekwondo Team, selected the head coach through a fair recruitment process, and plans to complete the remaining administrative procedures, finalize the team roster, and hold the inauguration ceremony within the year.
Won Kangsu, Mayor of Wonju, said, "I am very pleased to welcome Coach Jin Cheonsu, who has a diverse coaching background including serving as a national team coach, to lead the nation's first para taekwondo team established by a local government. We will spare no effort in supporting the successful operation of the newly established para taekwondo team."
