Previously, the city also held separate meetings with each organization on September 1 (Special Mission Merit Association, Bereaved Families of the Fallen Soldiers Association, Order of Military Merit Recipients Association, Uijeongbu City Veterans Association) and September 2 (Disabled Veterans Association, Widows of the Fallen Soldiers Association, Vietnam War Veterans Association) to listen to the opinions of each veterans’ group.
During the meeting held with the Liberation Association and the Korean War Veterans Association, various opinions were discussed, including business directions for each veterans’ organization in 2026, plans for new initiatives, and long-term business strategies.
Lee Sichun, president of the Veterans Organizations Council, said, "It was meaningful to have in-depth discussions on veterans’ policies and projects through these small-scale meetings," and added, "I hope various policies to improve the welfare of veterans’ families will be developed and implemented, so that volunteer work and activities contributing to society will continue actively."
