Police Request Arrest Warrant for Pizza Shop Owner in Gwanak Stabbing Murder Case
The police have requested an arrest warrant for Mr. A, the owner of a pizza restaurant in Gwanak, Seoul, who is suspected of fatally stabbing three people.
The Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the afternoon of September 11 that it had applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A on charges of murder.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of attacking and killing three people-Mr. B (49), an employee from the franchise headquarters, and Mr. C (60) and Mr. D (32), an interior contractor and his daughter-using a weapon from the kitchen at the franchise pizza restaurant he operated in Jowon-dong, Gwanak, Seoul, on September 3. Mr. A also suffered serious injuries from an attempted suicide and was treated in the hospital for a week.

The police executed an arrest warrant for Mr. A after he was discharged from the hospital on September 10. During the suspect interrogation following his arrest, Mr. A admitted to the charges. He also told the police officer who responded to the scene at the time of the incident, "I stabbed three people during a dispute over interior work."
