The name 'Yeonjin' combines 'Yeon' from Yeoncheon (nature) and 'Jin' meaning 'treasure,' signifying Yeoncheon's natural treasure and a rare, exquisite taste.
The harvested Yeonjinbyeo will quickly go through purchasing, drying, milling, and packaging processes, and will be released as the 2025 new crop under Yeoncheon County's official integrated rice brand, 'Maeilcheotsal Yeoncheon Rice.'
An official from Yeoncheon County stated, "We will do our utmost throughout all stages, working closely with producers and milling companies, to ensure that consumers receive rice with excellent taste and superior quality."

A farmer present at the site said, "Although unusual weather conditions made things difficult this year, the strong resistance of Yeonjinbyeo to pre-harvest sprouting allowed the grains to ripen evenly, so expectations are high for the quality of the 2025 new crop."
