View original imageThe two Hangul Day limited edition products are characterized by the use of old Hangul fonts found in records of the Joseon royal family, which are housed at the National Hangeul Museum, applied to the product names. For Whale Snack, the square print style from "Worinseokbo," which contains King Sejong's 1459 annotated edition of Hunminjeongeum, was used to express the elegance of early Hangul. For Choco Songi, the graceful and soft handwriting of Princess Deokon-the last legitimate princess of the Joseon Dynasty, born to King Sunjo and Queen Sunwon-was applied, using her handwritten script from "Jagyeongjeongi" to capture the beauty of Hangul calligraphy.
Notably, both products feature Hangul names that are familiar to children and easy and fun for foreigners to pronounce, most harmoniously showcasing the charm and beauty of Hangul across time and space.
To commemorate the launch of the limited editions, a consumer event will also be held. By tagging a friend and leaving a comment about the new release on Orion’s official social media, participants will have a chance to win the Hangul Day Limited Edition Whale Snack and Choco Songi through a drawing.
