Suwon City Holds Inauguration Ceremony for 'Policy Youth Participation Group' at Kyonggi University on the 10th
On September 10, Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province held the inauguration ceremony for the 5th Suwon City Policy Youth Participation Group at Deokmun Hall, Kyonggi University.
The Suwon City Policy Youth Participation Group consists of 20 students enrolled in the "Policy Innovation Seminar" course (Professor Park Hyunwook) in the Department of Public Administration at Kyonggi University. The group aims to develop Suwon City policies led by young people.
The Policy Innovation Seminar course includes team projects such as proposing and presenting policies for Suwon City, mentoring sessions with Suwon City team leaders at the sixth-grade level, and administrative internships for university students.

View original imageThe Policy Youth Participation Group, operated through collaboration between the local government and the university, is a program in which students identify issues that need to be addressed in the local community and propose customized policies using the Saebit Toktok citizen participation platform.
The first and second cohorts were operated at Ajou University, the third at Kyonggi University, and the fourth at Ajou University. The fifth cohort is being conducted at Kyonggi University.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hyun Geuntaek, the Second Vice Mayor of Suwon City, Park Hyunwook, Professor of Public Administration at Kyonggi University, students from the Policy Youth Participation Group, and other related personnel.
