The Korean recurve men's national team, consisting of Kim Woojin (Cheongju City Hall), Kim Je Deok (Yecheon County Office), and Lee Wooseok (Kolon), defeated the United States-represented by Brady Ellison, Trenton Cowles, and Christian Stoddard-by a score of 6-0 (56-55, 57-55, 59-56) in the men's team final on the sixth day of the 2025 Gwangju World Archery Championships, held at the special venue in the 5·18 Democracy Square in Gwangju on the 10th.
Since the Yankton Championships in 2021, Korea has not missed a single title in this event, achieving three consecutive championships.
This medal is also the first gold for the Korean national team at this tournament.
After failing to win in the men's individual and mixed team events, Kim Woojin, who was a triple gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics, teamed up once again with Kim Je Deok and Lee Wooseok, his Olympic teammates, to secure the gold medal and finally smiled at the end.

This gold medal marks Kim Woojin's 10th career gold at the World Archery Championships, solidifying his status as the top active archer.
For Kim Je Deok and Lee Wooseok, this is their third career gold at the World Archery Championships.
In the final, Korea gained the upper hand thanks to Kim Je Deok, who shot his first three arrows into the 10-point ring.
In the third set, the team sealed the victory by landing all three of their final arrows in the 10-point ring.
For the United States, Brady Ellison, the world number one who had a fierce battle with Kim Woojin in the men's individual final at the Paris Olympics, scored three 10s and three 9s out of six arrows, putting up a strong performance.
Korea will now aim to add a bronze medal in the women's team event.
