SR Launches New Management Strategy to Implement National Tasks
Pursuing Sustainable Growth
SR, the operator of the Suseo High-Speed Railway (SRT), announced on September 10 that it has begun formulating a mid- to long-term management strategy to support the government's 123 key national policy tasks. The company aims to fulfill its responsibilities as a public enterprise while also securing future growth engines.
SR held a kickoff meeting for the formulation of its mid- to long-term management strategy the previous day, setting core national policy tasks such as enhancing public safety, transitioning to artificial intelligence (AX), creating quality jobs, and leading carbon neutrality as its management objectives. This reflects the company's intention to align its strategy closely with government policies.
Going forward, the strategy will focus on identifying actionable business initiatives and managing performance outcomes. SR plans to hold a strategy workshop later this month with the participation of its executives and employees to discuss future challenges in the railway industry, including safety, artificial intelligence (AI), and RE100 (100% renewable energy).
Previously, in August, SR established the "National Policy Task Promotion Committee" to develop detailed projects and roadmaps for each policy task. The outcomes of this committee will be incorporated into the new mid- to long-term strategy to enhance its effectiveness.
