The lecture was made possible after Hanam City was selected for the "Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Learning Opportunity Special Zone" public project in June, securing 30 million won in provincial funding. The initiative is part of efforts to provide easier learning opportunities for working professionals and business leaders.
The Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Learning Opportunity Special Zone project, implemented for the first time this year by the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Agency, aims to establish a support system that links local resources and lifelong learning to address regional issues and promote real opportunities and innovation. The project seeks to discover innovative learning city models that focus on lifelong education to solve local problems across cities and counties in the province.
Accordingly, Hanam City presented the creation of a "business-friendly city" as its core agenda and was selected for the project with a model that builds a learning ecosystem to enhance the capabilities of working professionals and CEOs. The city plans to continue the project until early December in cooperation with organizations such as the Hanam City Entrepreneurs Association.
The main initiatives include: △Expanding after-work lifelong learning programs for employees (Employee Learning Hanam), △Strengthening management insight through CEO special lectures and learning exchanges (CEO Learning Hanam), △Operating organizational communication workshops (Corporate Communication Hanam), and △Spreading self-reliant business models created by lifelong learning cooperatives (Misa-dong Coffee Hanam).
Mayor Lee Hyunjae stated, "We will continue to strive to expand learning opportunities for employees and strengthen corporate capabilities," adding, "We will design practical programs so that lifelong learning can contribute to solving local issues, leading the way in the era of Lifelong Learning City 4.0."
