Support Program for Artistic Activities
Hwacheon County in Gangwon Province is implementing a support program for local amateur arts organizations and clubs to promote their artistic activities.
The county announced the "4th Round of Recruitment for the 2025 Local Community Arts Support Program" on September 5 and is accepting applications until September 19.
The fields eligible for support include literature, visual arts, dance, theater, music, and traditional arts.
The amount of support is set at up to 4 million won per group, covering expenses such as stage installation, publicity, and venue rental. However, asset acquisition, instructor fees, directing fees, appearance fees, and individual performance fees (labor costs) are excluded.
Selected groups must carry out projects such as performances and exhibitions by November.
Specific support in the field of literature includes publication projects for poetry, plays, novels, and essays, as well as poetry recitation events, literary concerts, and writing contests.
In the visual arts, support covers exhibition activities in painting, sculpture, crafts, calligraphy, photography, and video.
Dance, theater, music, and traditional arts groups can also receive partial support for performance costs relevant to their respective fields.
Eligible applicants are amateur cultural and arts organizations or clubs based in Hwacheon County that possess a unique identification number certificate or business registration certificate.
However, organizations affiliated with national or public institutions, media organizations, individuals, and professional arts organizations are excluded from eligibility.
