Busan Internet Broadcaster in His 30s, Former Baseball Player, Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges
A former professional baseball player in his 30s, who is also an internet broadcaster (BJ) and a member of a Busan-based organized crime group, has been arrested again on domestic violence charges just about a month after being released from prison.
According to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency on September 9, the Busan District Court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. A, who is accused of violating the Act on the Punishment of Violent Acts (repeat offense of causing bodily injury). The court explained the reason for the arrest, citing concerns that he might flee.

At around 5 a.m. on September 6, Mr. A was arrested in the act at his home in Busan on charges of assaulting his wife, Ms. B, causing injuries including fractures. Mr. A is a former baseball player affiliated with a violent gang in Busan and is also active as an internet broadcaster.
