A sports park covering 82,000 square meters will be established in the Jungpodong area of Icheon, Gyeonggi Province in the first half of next year.

View original imageOn September 8, Icheon City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the "Jungpodong Sports Park Development Project," which will be constructed at 294 Jungpodong. The ceremony was attended by Kyunghee Kim, Mayor of Icheon, National Assemblyman Seokjun Song, City Council Chair Myungseo Park, Provincial Assembly members Won Heo and Iljung Kim, heads of social organizations, local residents, and about 200 other participants.
A total of 45 billion won will be invested in the development of the sports park, including 6 billion won in provincial funds. The park will feature a multipurpose sports field, a central plaza, tennis courts, foot volleyball courts, a ground golf course, futsal fields, a children's playground, and a floor fountain. The target completion date is May next year.
