Woori Financial Group Offers "Opportunities for Growth" to Youths in Child Welfare Facilities
Woori Financial Group and the Woori Financial Future Foundation have rolled up their sleeves to support the successful independence of youths in child welfare facilities. On September 6, the foundation held a launch ceremony for the "WOORI CHANCE for Independent Youths - Career & Education Support for Adolescents" program at the Woori Financial Group headquarters, pledging to be a reliable companion on the journey toward the dreams of these young people.
This initiative will run for one year and target 50 middle school students residing in child welfare facilities. The participating youths will enhance their academic achievement through eight personalized career coaching sessions and thirty-five self-directed learning improvement programs. They will also have the opportunity to realize their potential by taking part in three dream growth camps and presentation events. The Woori Financial Future Foundation will provide "Dream Support Funds" throughout the entire process, so that the youths can prepare for their futures without practical concerns.
The launch ceremony was attended by scholarship recipients of the "WOORI CHANCE for Independent Youths" program and their guardians. The event included a scholarship certificate presentation, a lecture by a senior independent youth who participated in the foundation’s mentoring program, and a musical performance exploring youth career paths, adding further significance to the occasion.
