Gwangju Urban Corporation announced on September 7 that it held an air quality OX quiz and air-purifying plant distribution event at Jeonil Building 245 on September 5 to celebrate "Blue Sky Day."

"Blue Sky Day" is the first official commemorative day proposed by South Korea and adopted by the United Nations (UN). Every year on September 7, countries around the world hold various events to raise awareness about the seriousness of air pollution and to remind people of the importance of clean air.

During the event, the corporation encouraged citizen participation through the air quality OX quiz and presented air-purifying plants (succulents) as souvenirs to those who answered correctly. Additionally, the corporation explained the benefits of plant placement for improving indoor air quality and urged citizens to maintain consistent interest and take practical actions in daily life to preserve clean air.

President Kim Seungnam stated, "Even small actions in our daily lives can help protect the environment and fulfill our social responsibilities," adding, "Gwangju Urban Corporation will also lead sustainable urban development by promoting ESG management together with citizens."
