Daejeon City Enhances Tourism Programs for Citizens and Visitors
Daejeon City is introducing a newly revamped "Bread Tour" program, which received an enthusiastic response at the "Zero Hour Festival." This new version, called "Bread Day Tour," will focus on the "Bread Pilgrimage" route and offer an intensive, same-day exploration experience.
The city will operate the "Bread Tour" as a regular weekend program starting in September and will implement a fall city tour route overhaul, including an expansion of customized buses and a reorganization of the Music Bus.
This reorganization aims to enhance the appeal of Daejeon's tourism by making popular content available year-round, while also ensuring both budget and operational efficiency.
Customized buses will increase the number of operations through an advance reservation system to meet group demand from families, clubs, and related events. The Music Bus will operate only on Saturdays in October, strengthening participatory programs centered on small-scale live performances and recreation.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "By regularizing the Bread Tour, which has already been proven during the festival period, intensifying the Music Bus, and expanding the customized buses, we hope that more citizens and tourists will experience the charm of Daejeon's tourism and invigorate the local economy."
