More than 30 customer and market division leaders from 20 countries across Asia and the Americas, including the United States, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Japan, and China, attended the event. In particular, with Stephen Kang of Samil PwC being appointed as the PwC APA Customer and Market Division Leader in July, strategic support for the global expansion of Korean companies is now in full swing.
The meeting featured presentations and Q&A sessions on Korea’s leading export industries, such as automobiles and semiconductors. Yongwook Jun, Partner at Samil PwC, Daniel Fertig, Partner, and Yonggyun Bum, PwC Global Semiconductor Division Leader (Partner), each gave presentations on the automotive and semiconductor sectors, discussing strategies for entering the North American, Central and South American, and Asia-Pacific markets. In addition, seminars and discussions were held on topics such as global trends in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and the current state of the US and European markets.
Craig Stenberg, Senior Director of the Geopolitical Strategy Analysis Team at PwC US, who attended the event, commented, "While global geopolitical turmoil is intensifying, the Asia-Pacific region remains the most optimistic area both geopolitically and economically," adding, "This region is a market with ongoing growth and opportunities." Mike Thiessen, Head of Customer and Market at PwC US, also emphasized, "Even amid turmoil, global business continues to move toward new opportunities, and PwC is ready to seize them."
