Silla University Aviation Students Win Top Prize at 'Air Busan Dream Campus'
Silla University (President Heo Namsik) announced on September 5 that students from its College of Aviation received the top prize in the '2025 Air Busan Dream Campus' internship program.

View original imageFrom July 1 to August 29, Kim Jihyun, Kim Minjung, and Choi Songmin from the Department of Air Traffic Management, and Kim Minyoung from the Department of Aviation Operation at Silla University were selected to participate in this program, which was co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and Air Busan.
Together with Kim Dongwook from Kyungwoon University, they formed a team and completed an internship in the flight operations field, working on assignments such as: establishing safety policy strategies based on the ICAO Safety Report 2025; researching safety policies for circling approaches at Gimhae Airport; developing safe flight operation techniques based on aircraft accident reports; and conducting in-depth reviews of airline business license application reports.
Their research report and presentation on 'Runway Guidance Line Color Differentiation to Prevent Misidentification During Circling Approaches at Gimhae Airport' received high praise, earning them the top prize.
Lee Doohyeong, head professor of the Department of Air Traffic Logistics at Silla University, stated, "This experience allowed the students to clearly understand the role of a flight operations manager and enhance their expertise."

Starting from the 2025 academic year, the Department of Air Traffic Management at Silla University will be expanded and reorganized into the 'Department of Air Traffic Logistics.' From the second year, students will be able to specialize in either air traffic management or air logistics to further strengthen their expertise.
