Mokwon University Continues Meal Service for Homeless at Daejeon Station for Fourth Year
Mokwon University has continued its meal service volunteer work for homeless people at Daejeon Station for the fourth consecutive year.
On September 4, Mokwon University announced that it had carried out a meal service volunteer activity for homeless and vulnerable individuals at Daejeon Station Plaza the previous day. The meal service began in the second semester of 2022 and has been held a total of six times to date.

View original imageDuring the meal service, 30 participants-including President Lee Heehak, students, university executives, and staff-joined the Social Mission Center "Bethel's House" to provide meals and snacks to approximately 130 homeless people.
University members who participated in the meal service took on various roles, including serving food, guiding the waiting line, assisting with carrying tableware, and helping with waste separation and cleanup.
One homeless individual who received a meal expressed gratitude, saying, "The ongoing heat has made these days difficult, so I am thankful to receive a cool drink and a warm meal."
