Siheung City Completes Replacement of Old Water Supply Pipes in Geomo-dong Area

Project Aims to Resolve Water Quality Issues and Frequent Leaks
Stable Water Supply System Established with 17.1 Billion Won Investment
On September 4, Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it had completed the replacement of 12.5 kilometers of old water supply pipes in the Geomo-dong area.
This project was carried out to address residents' complaints about deteriorating tap water quality and frequent leaks in the area, and to establish a stable water supply system.
The city invested a total of 17.1 billion won, starting construction in March 2023 and completing it in 30 months. After completion, the city also conducted inspections to ensure water quality stability.
Following this project, the city plans to continue maintenance of water supply pipelines in major areas such as Daeya-dong and Siheung Smart Hub without delays.

A city official stated, "We will continue regular maintenance to minimize citizen inconvenience related to water supply, such as poor water output and water outages."
