The government will recruit additional personnel in the fields of labor inspection and industrial safety, aiming to strengthen the prevention of industrial accidents.
On September 4, the Ministry of Personnel Management announced that, in response to the Ministry of Employment and Labor's request for additional staff in labor inspection and industrial safety, an additional open recruitment exam for Grade 7 national civil servants will be held, selecting a total of 500 people in the science and technology and administrative job categories. Specifically, 300 will be recruited for science and technology positions and 200 for administrative positions, with the goal of strengthening labor inspection and industrial accident prevention tailored to each industry.
Applications will be accepted for five days from September 15 to September 19. The first stage, the Public Service Aptitude Test (PSAT), will be held on November 15. The second stage, the written exam, will take place in January 2026, and the third stage, the interview, will be conducted in early March. The detailed number of positions by job category, exam subjects, and schedule will be announced on the Cyber National Examination Center website on September 10.

Successful candidates will be assigned to the Ministry of Employment and Labor starting in April next year, where they will receive specialized training before being deployed to the field. Choi Dongseok, head of the Ministry of Personnel Management, explained, "The purpose of this additional open recruitment is to select key personnel in labor inspection and industrial safety for safer workplaces," adding, "We will actively support the process so that many candidates can participate with interest."
