KOSPI Recovers to 3,190s in Early Trading... KOSDAQ Also Rises Above 800
KOSPI and KOSDAQ Open Higher Together
On September 4, the KOSPI started the day higher, attempting to reclaim the 3,200 mark in early trading. The KOSDAQ also showed an upward trend, recovering the 800 level.
As of 9:15 a.m. on this day, the KOSPI stood at 3,198.54, up 0.44% from the previous trading day. The index opened at 3,188.84, 0.14% higher than the previous session, and continued to gain momentum.
Individual investors and foreign investors are leading the upward trend by net buying 49.9 billion won and 400 million won, respectively. On the other hand, institutions are net selling 59 billion won alone.
Most sectors are rising. The order of gains is retail (1.66%), machinery and equipment (1.52%), chemicals (1.10%), medical and precision instruments (1.08%), IT services (0.81%), electricity and gas (0.69%), construction (0.68%), textiles and apparel (0.53%), electrical and electronics (0.52%), and manufacturing (0.47%). In contrast, securities (-0.37%), insurance (-0.09%), and transportation and storage (-0.01%) are declining.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, SK Hynix (2.19%), LG Energy Solution (1.36%), and Doosan Enerbility (2.88%) are showing strength. Hanwha Aerospace is also up by 0.53%. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics (-0.29%), Samsung Biologics (-0.10%), Hyundai Motor (-0.45%), Kia (-0.56%), KB Financial Group (-0.54%), and Celltrion (-0.17%) are falling.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ is up 0.89% from the previous trading day, recording 803.87. The index started trading at 799.53, up 0.34% from the previous session, and has continued to rise.
Individual investors and foreign investors are net buying 1.5 billion won and 2.1 billion won, respectively, while institutions are net selling 1.8 billion won alone.
By sector, pharmaceuticals, transportation equipment and parts (1.27%), chemicals and metals (1.05%), machinery and equipment (1.02%), finance (0.95%), manufacturing (0.94%), medical and precision instruments (0.91%), retail (0.84%), construction (0.78%), IT services (0.63%), textiles and apparel (0.59%), electrical and electronics (0.53%), and entertainment and culture (0.38%) are all rising. Transportation and storage (-1.34%) and publishing and media reproduction (-0.79%) are weak.

Among the top 10 KOSDAQ market capitalization stocks, except for LIG ChemBio (-0.73%) and ABL Bio (-0.52%), Alteogen (0.76%), Ecopro BM (0.68%), Peptron (2.96%), Ecopro (1.20%), PharmaResearch (1.13%), Rainbow Robotics (0.73%), HLB (0.13%), and Samchundang Pharm (1.88%) are all on the rise.
