Samcheok City Awards Mayor's Commendation to Departments and Public Officials for Improving Civil Service Quality
Samcheok City in Gangwon Province announced on the 3rd that it held an awards ceremony on the 2nd at the City Hall Citizens' Meeting Hall to recognize outstanding departments and exemplary public officials for the first half of 2025, encouraging employees who contributed to improving civil service quality.

View original imageThis award recognized seven departments and twelve public officials who achieved outstanding results in reducing civil service processing times and improving civil service systems, presenting them with the Mayor of Samcheok's commendation.
The departments recognized for excellence included the Department of Children and Youth, the Construction Department, Gyodong, the Transportation Department, the Social Welfare Department, the Energy Department, and the Imwon Branch Office. In the individual category, twelve people were selected, including Lim Yeonju, an officer in the Department of Children and Youth; Kim Eunhee, an officer in the Welfare Policy Department; and Choi Sujeong, an officer in the Civil Service Department.
Following the awards ceremony, a meeting was held to discuss difficulties and suggestions for improvement in the civil service process. Mayor Park Sangsoo listened to the challenges faced by employees who directly handle civil service matters on the front lines and shared exemplary cases and positive stories.
Additionally, a therapeutic horticulture program was held for the 25 participants, where they planted succulent pots themselves, providing an opportunity to relieve work-related stress and restore their well-being.
