On September 3, Wonju City in Gangwon Province and the Wonju Residents' Autonomy Council (Chairman Choi Seongu) announced that they held the "2025 Wonju Residents' Autonomy Harmony Festival" at the permanent performance venue parking lot of the Dancing Performance Hall from the 29th to the 31st of last month to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city's elevation.

View original imageThis year's Residents' Autonomy Harmony Festival was expanded to a three-day event, providing an opportunity for citizens to broadly experience and enjoy the diverse activities and achievements of residents' autonomy.
A total of 28 club teams participated in the residents' autonomy club performances, showcasing passionate and diverse acts including line and practical dance, Nanta, acoustic guitar performances, and Samulnori.
The grand prize went to the "Tae2 Crew" team from the Taejang 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Center, where three dance clubs joined forces to present a harmonious stage. The top excellence award was given to Haenggu-dong, and the excellence award went to Jijeong-myeon.
The Tae2 Crew team, which won the grand prize, will participate in the "2025 Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Residents' Autonomy Expo Program Competition" to be held in Donghae City on the 18th of next month.
Along with the performances, the event also featured various attractions such as booths for Korean calligraphy and textile coloring experiences and exhibitions.
