Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Hosts "Stories of Folk Paintings Filled with Hopes" Exhibition
On September 2, Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced that it will host the Damcheonhoe Members' Exhibition, "Stories of Folk Paintings Filled with Hopes," at the special exhibition hall of the Currency Museum.

View original imageDamcheonhoe is a group where artists active in Korean painting, folk painting, calligraphy, and modern calligraphy come together to communicate through their artwork.
The exhibition features works by artists Kim Kyungae, Kim Geumae, Kim Doyoon, Park Eunyeong, Park Seonye, Park Myungsook, and Yoo Mikyung.
The pieces on display reinterpret the forms and symbols of traditional folk painting with a modern sensibility. Familiar subjects from folk paintings are presented from new perspectives and with fresh color palettes.
Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation offers the special exhibition hall of the Currency Museum free of charge for exhibitions. Approximately 20 exhibitions are held there each year.
