National Hangeul Museum to Operate Hangeul Experience Center
Participating in Gwangju 2025 Museum Expo
Offering a Variety of Hangeul Experiences
The National Hangeul Museum announced on September 2 that it will participate in the '2025 Museum and Art Museum Expo (KOREA MUSEUM EXPO 2025),' which will be held at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju from September 4 to 7. The museum will operate the National Hangeul Museum Experience Center, titled "Hangeul, Light of the World," where visitors can directly experience the value and charm of Hangeul.
At this expo, the museum will offer a total of five experiential activities that allow visitors to easily and enjoyably explore the principles and beauty of Hangeul. These include "Discover! Hangeul," a corner for coloring and applying stickers featuring Hangeul; "Hangeul Workshop," where participants can create their own keychains using initial and decorative Hangeul characters; and "Challenge! Hangeul Wheel," a quiz activity that tests knowledge about Hangeul.
In addition to the hands-on activities, there will be an exhibition of creative Hangeul-themed cultural products, including fashion items, accessories, daily necessities, and more. The museum will also screen videos related to Hangeul that it has produced. The experience program is designed to be accessible to everyone, from children to adults, and is expected to provide a meaningful experience not only for families but also for museum and art museum professionals and educators.
