Urban Drawing Program for Adults: "Urban Sketchers, Capturing Science"
Integrated Art and Science Class with a Visual Artist: "Drawing Science"

Have you ever imagined what it would look like when science and art come together?

The National Busan Science Museum (Director Song Samjong) is collaborating with the Busan Cultural Foundation (CEO Oh Jaehwan) to run an integrated educational program where science and art meet.

This partnership is part of the Busan Cultural Foundation's artist dispatch support project, "Good Morning Artist," and is designed to promote the social value of art through science and art education, as well as to broaden the base of science culture. The classes will be led by visual artist Seo Jeongha, and participants' creative works will be exhibited at the Education Center on the third floor of the National Busan Science Museum.

The adult program, "Urban Sketchers: Capturing Science," is an urban drawing class where participants explore the museum's exhibition spaces and draw the galleries and scenery using pens and pastels. Each participant will complete a canvas artwork reflecting their own perspective. The program will be held at the National Busan Science Museum on September 13 and 20, over two consecutive sessions.

"Drawing Science," designed for students in grades 4 to 6, is a creative convergence class that combines marine biology dissection with drawing. Participants will observe the structure and features of squid and create three-dimensional posters by referencing illustrations from science books. This class will be held at the museum every Sunday from September 28 to October 26, except during the Chuseok holiday.

Song Samjong, Director of the National Busan Science Museum, said, "A science culture platform is now being fully launched, where citizens can create art themselves and experience science emotionally in the space of the science museum," encouraging many to participate.
