The AI Governance Portal analyzes the risks and opportunities of AI services based on SK Telecom's AI governance principles, "T.H.E. AI," and conducts tasks such as diagnosing compliance with checklists according to different risk levels.

The risk and opportunity analysis process is divided into self-assessment by the business team and review and deliberation by the AI Governance Team and Red Team. First, the business team conducts a self-assessment using more than 60 checklist items developed for four areas-reliability, diversity and inclusion, decision transparency, and ethical responsibility-to verify compliance with "T.H.E. AI."

Afterward, the Red Team and AI Governance Team, which are composed of experts from various fields such as technology, service, and governance, carry out a secondary diagnosis and evaluation. They provide in-depth feedback on technical defects and risk factors, as well as on issues such as copyright, response bias, and governance. In particular, the Red Team analyzes the vulnerabilities of the AI service based on the business team's self-assessment results and may require improvement measures for potential risks.

The diagnosis and evaluation are conducted throughout the entire service lifecycle, from pre-launch stages such as planning, development, and testing, to post-launch operations, incident management, and improvements, thereby enhancing service safety. The results of the diagnosis and evaluation are provided in a dashboard format for easy viewing.

Jung Jaeheon, SK Telecom's Chief Governance Officer (CGO and President), stated, "By launching the AI Governance Portal, we will enhance the reliability and safety of AI technology and strengthen our leadership as a national AI company." He added, "We will provide greater value to customers by reinforcing the ethical responsibility and transparency of AI technology."
