Narzio Wins Brand of the Year Grand Prize in Functional Footwear Category
Grand Prize Winner by Consumer Vote
The Only Domestic Functional Footwear Brand with 20 Years of History
Narzio has been awarded the Grand Prize in the Functional Footwear category at the 2025 Brand of the Year Awards. Narzio is the first functional footwear brand in South Korea to be approved as "Medicare Shoes" in the United States.
The Brand of the Year Awards is organized by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee and hosted by the Korea Consumer Forum, selecting the top brands of the year through consumer voting. This year, a total of 879,508 consumers participated in online voting and telephone surveys, resulting in fierce competition across categories. Narzio was selected as the Grand Prize winner in the "Functional Footwear" category.
Narzio is the only domestic functional footwear brand that has lasted for over 20 years. By maintaining its reputation and recognition for a long period, it has gained popularity among consumers as "light and comfortable shoes," and is expanding beyond Korea to become a global brand.
Lee Jaekeun, CEO of Narzio, stated, "This recognition is the result of prioritizing comfort in footwear development, based on over 20 years of accumulated technology and expertise," adding, "We will continue to focus on technological innovation to deliver even more comfortable shoes that satisfy our customers."
A Narzio representative explained, "Our walking shoes feature the 'TWOSOLE' outsole, which is separated front and back. This technology allows the shoe to move naturally with the foot while walking, making it more comfortable and reducing the burden on the ankles and knee joints."
The company also noted that by distributing body weight from front to back, the shoes help reduce fatigue even when physical activity increases.
Based on this technology, in 2018, Narzio became the first domestic functional footwear brand to be approved by the U.S. government as "Medicare Diabetes and Orthopedic Shoes."
