On September 1, Hoengseong County and Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province signed an investment agreement with Sian Co., Ltd. for the expansion of Sian's Hoengseong factory at the Hoengseong County Office.

Sian Co., Ltd. plans to invest 1.93 billion won by 2026 to expand its factory by 660 square meters on its existing site, aiming to create a total of 75 jobs, including 20 new positions.
Established in 2002, Sian Co., Ltd. is a specialized manufacturer of plastic sashes and relocated its factory to Hoengseong County in 2013. Since 2015, the company has obtained FM 4910 and 4922 flame-retardant material certifications, expanding its exports. With this expansion, Sian plans to build production facilities for FM duct pipes up to the maximum size of 1,300 mm, thereby strengthening quality competitiveness and increasing market share.
Sian Co., Ltd. has demonstrated its domestic and international competitiveness by receiving the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award in 2021, the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award in 2022, the Prime Minister's Award in 2024, and being selected for the 'Export Tower (1 Million Dollar)' award. In 2025, the company was recognized as a JUMP-UP SME, acknowledging its potential for sustainable growth.
