The 26th Tongillo Music Festival, held on the special stage at Gongneungcheon Culture and Sports Park in Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Donghwan Lee) on the 30th, was a great success, drawing enthusiastic support from over 1,000 citizens.

View original imageThis music festival, a representative citizen-participatory event organized by the Goyang branch of the Korea Entertainment Artists Association and sponsored by Goyang Special City, once again attracted significant attention this year.
The event featured a final competition among 12 teams of Goyang citizens who passed the preliminary rounds, as well as performances by nationally beloved singers such as Seo Jio, Son Minchae, Hong Juhye, and Yongho, along with local artists active in the region.
Donghwan Lee, mayor of Goyang Special City, who attended the event, stated, "The Tongillo Music Festival has been a festival for citizens for 26 years and is a valuable asset that demonstrates the strength of our local community and its cultural potential. I hope today's joyful energy will become a driving force for the development of the Tongillo area and our city. Winners were selected in a total of six categories, including the grand prize (1 million won), gold, silver, bronze, encouragement, and popularity awards. The event concluded with participants and the audience coming together in harmony.
The Tongillo Music Festival, which has continued for 26 years, has established itself as a leading music festival, expanding cultural opportunities for residents near Tongillo, such as Gonsan and Goyang, and serving as a platform for communication between local artists and citizens.
