Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on August 30 that it held the '8th Civilian Administration Pledge Project Citizen Evaluation Group Appointment Ceremony' on the 28th at the city hall's 3rd floor situation room.

View original imageOn this day, Mayor Baek Kyunghyun presented appointment certificates to a total of 24 citizen evaluators, including 22 reappointed members and 2 newly appointed members. Kim Seokjoong, former chairman of the Guri City Residents' Autonomy Council, was elected as the head of the evaluation group, and Song Gyuyoung, secretary-general of the Guri City branch of the Korea Freedom Federation, was elected as the deputy head.
During the subsequent deliberation meeting, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted on the current status of the city's pledge projects. As a result, 104 out of a total of 142 pledge projects, or 73.2%, were found to have been completed, and the overall implementation status was rated as 'appropriate.'
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "Now, as we pass the halfway point of the 8th civilian administration and move into the latter half, it is a crucial time to fulfill our promises to the citizens." He added, "Together with the citizen evaluation group, we will enhance the completeness of our pledge projects and ensure the realization of our administrative goal: 'Joyful Change, Happier Guri City.'"

Meanwhile, the Citizen Evaluation Group for Pledge Projects plays a role in directly monitoring the progress of pledges from the citizens' perspective and providing feedback. The city plans to further strengthen responsible administration with citizen participation throughout the implementation of pledges by operating the evaluation group in a more substantive manner.
