Jangheung Jeongnamjin Marine Fishing Park to Reopen in September
Jangheung County in Jeonnam will reopen the Jeongnamjin Marine Fishing Park, located in Hoejin-myeon, next month.
On August 29, Jangheung County announced that the park will hold a trial opening on the 3rd of next month, followed by full-scale operation starting on the 10th.
Jeongnamjin Marine Fishing Park, which first opened in 2008, is a deck-type sea fishing spot known as the largest habitat for black porgy. It became a popular destination for anglers nationwide, as even beginners could enjoy fishing safely and conveniently. However, it has been closed due to COVID-19 and typhoons.

In preparation for the reopening, the county has completed restoration and a comprehensive overhaul of major facilities. The park will be open from Wednesday to Sunday each week, and will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, due to aging facilities, the floating pension and floating fishing plaza will not be in operation.
