Participants shared insights on the theme of 'Trends in Environmental Regulations for Sustainable Supply Chain Management,' including: environmental laws such as the Ministry of Environment's policy direction and recent cases; the voluntary reporting system under the Act on Registration and Evaluation of Chemicals (K-REACH); life cycle assessment (LCA) and certification systems; and support programs for supply chain environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
In particular, it was emphasized that, as major countries including the EU strengthen supply chain regulations, it is urgent for domestic companies to develop response strategies. Transparent management across the entire supply chain, public disclosure of information, and prevention of greenwashing were also highlighted as key issues.
