KORAIL Changes Chuseok Train Ticket Reservation Schedule to "September 15-18"
Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on August 28 that the reservation schedule for train tickets during this year's Chuseok holiday will be changed from September 1-4 to September 15-16.
KORAIL explained that the schedule change is due to unavoidable train operation adjustments, including track stabilization measures following the recent fatal accident involving a Mugunghwa-ho train.
According to the revised schedule, advance reservations for seniors aged 65 or older, registered persons with disabilities under the Welfare of Disabled Persons Act, and national merit recipients eligible for transportation support will be held on September 15-16. Online reservations for the general public will be available on September 17-18.
Payment for reserved train tickets can be made from 5:00 p.m. on September 18. Advance reservation tickets for transportation-vulnerable groups must be paid by midnight on September 24, while general reservation tickets must be paid by midnight on September 21.
Further details regarding Chuseok holiday train ticket reservations can be found on the KORAIL website.
