The international design verification letter is a document that certifies whether the design and technical documents meet international regulations and standards. With this certification, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has secured the stability and technical feasibility of its design.
In particular, the newly developed 500MW-class offshore substation model by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has localized key equipment, established a stable supply chain, and maximized synergy with domestic equipment suppliers.
An offshore substation is a core facility required to transmit electricity generated from offshore wind farms to land. It collects electricity produced by wind turbines installed at sea and transmits it to shore while minimizing power loss.
This 500MW-class model is a standard design that can be applied to large-scale offshore wind power projects and is capable of transmitting the electricity generated by a total of 35 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 14MW.
