Chungnam Province Strengthens Smart Farm Educational Cooperation Between Korean and Vietnamese Universities

Fostering Young Farmers and Smart Agriculture Talent Expected
Chungnam Province is strengthening its position as a leading local government in smart agriculture by supporting educational cooperation on smart farms between universities in Korea and Vietnam.
According to the province, Governor Kim Taeheum attended the signing ceremony for a work agreement between Yeonam University and Nong Lam University, held at Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on August 27. He announced his commitment to actively support educational and technological exchanges between the two universities.
Under the agreement, the two universities will promote the following initiatives: exchange of educational and academic information on smart farms, cooperation in establishing smart farm facilities, exchange programs for industrial trainees and international students, and faculty and staff exchanges.
Governor Kim emphasized, "A nation cannot truly become advanced without agricultural development," adding, "The number of young farmers generating hundreds of millions of won in revenue through smart farms is increasing."
