Police Refer Medistaff CEO to Prosecution Over Evidence Destruction Charges in Medical Student Community
The CEO of 'Medistaff' has been referred to the prosecution on charges of destroying evidence to conceal the identity of the author of defamatory posts related to the whistleblower in the resident rebate scandal.
On August 26, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it had recently sent Medistaff CEO Ki Donghoon and Chief Technology Officer Song to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of destroying evidence.
Previously, Professor A from a university hospital in Seoul blew the whistle on the 'resident rebate scandal' in 2023. At that time, Professor A filed a complaint with the police, claiming that numerous posts and comments defaming or insulting him were posted on Medistaff, but the administrators took no action.
