Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwangdeok) announced on the 25th that it held the 'Byeollae Reservoir Tennis Court and Futsal Court Opening Ceremony' in the Byeollae-dong area on the 23rd.

View original imageThis opening was promoted to transform the aging futsal court and walking trail located on top of the Byeollae Reservoir into new tennis and futsal courts, creating a space where all citizens can easily enjoy leisure activities.
The event was attended by over 100 people, including Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, provincial council members, city council members, heads of sports organizations, and members of local sports clubs in Byeollae-dong. The ceremony included a progress report, commemorative and congratulatory speeches, a ribbon-cutting, and a commemorative photo session.
The Byeollae Reservoir sports facility covers an area of 5,347 square meters and consists of two tennis courts, one futsal court, a decked walking path, and a rest area. It was developed as a user-centered sports facility for daily use, reflecting the opinions of local residents.
Construction of the facility began in November 2024 and, after approximately nine months of work, was completed in July 2025. The project was funded by a city budget of about 2.3 billion won.
