Gwangju Bukgu Launches Close Communication with Residents of 27 Neighborhoods
Gwangju Bukgu is organizing an event to meet and communicate directly with residents of each neighborhood.
On August 25, Bukgu announced that it will operate the "Field·Meeting·Communication Day" in each of its 27 neighborhoods from August 22 until September 30, in order to listen to residents’ concerns and suggestions regarding daily inconveniences.
This event has been held annually since the 7th popularly elected administration, and aims to promote mutual development by discussing the direction of village development and solutions to current issues together with residents. According to the schedule, the event will be held sequentially at each neighborhood’s administrative welfare center, with about 30 participants including District Mayor Moon In, local city and district council members, neighborhood autonomous organization representatives, residents, and public officials. The meeting will be conducted in a free discussion format for about 70 minutes, during which the direction of district administration will be shared and residents’ suggestions will be heard.
