Yangju City Concludes the 2025 Eulji Exercise with Enhanced Emergency Preparedness
Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Yang Suhyun) announced on the 21st that it had successfully concluded the '2025 Eulji Exercise,' which was conducted over four days from the 18th to the 21st.

View original imageThis year's drill began at 6:00 a.m. on the 18th with an emergency assembly of public officials to check the readiness system. At the initial situation report meeting held at 8:30 a.m., eight related agencies, including the 5th Armored Brigade, Yangju Police Station, and Yangju Fire Station, participated to review wartime transition procedures through wartime organization training and the operation of newly established wartime organizations.
From the second day, a daily situation report meeting was held every morning at 8:30 a.m. to share the status of major incidents and the results of response measures, and to discuss problems and improvement plans for the Chungmu Plan.
On the third day, administrative welfare centers in towns and districts and Yangju Urban Corporation provided civil defense education, including air raid evacuation drills and gas mask wearing exercises, to strengthen citizens' ability to respond to air raids. In addition, a fire truck passage drill was conducted under the supervision of Yangju Fire Station to raise public awareness of safety.
On the final day, the 21st, a drill was conducted under the direction of the Smart Information Officer to respond to a DDoS attack and computer network paralysis, checking the cyberattack response system and inter-agency cooperation framework.
The city evaluated that this exercise served as an opportunity to strengthen wartime response capabilities in line with the changing security environment and to further solidify the cooperation system among related agencies.
