The company will officially launch its 'AI Transformation' initiative, focusing on 'Agentic AI' and the realization of 'Agentic Enterprise' by applying this technology across the organization.
Agentic AI refers to autonomous AI that sets its own goals, analyzes its environment, and makes optimal decisions independently. Agentic Enterprise is an AI operating model that applies Agentic AI throughout the company to achieve greater work efficiency and automated decision-making. Through this, Lotte plans to enhance overall organizational efficiency and establish a corporate AI system that enables data-driven decision-making and personalized customer service.
At the AI Conference, Lotte Distribution Group will present its vision for AI-driven distribution innovation under the slogan 'LaiLAC Blooming into the Agentic AI, Now,' through its dedicated AI organization, LaiLAC (Lotte AI Lab Alliances & Creators) Center.
To start, Lotte Distribution Group will implement Agentic AI in four key areas: shopping, merchandising (MD), operations, and management support. Shopping Agentic AI will analyze customer preferences and interests to recommend personalized products, while MD Agentic AI will automate management tasks such as product pricing and assortment planning. Operations Agentic AI will optimize inventory management and ordering based on AI, and Management Support Agentic AI will reduce repetitive work and enhance employee productivity.
Lotte Distribution Group also plans to build an AI platform that integrates multiple Agentic AIs by 2030, realizing a company-wide AI operating system known as Agentic Enterprise. The company will pursue both technological advancement and resource efficiency through strategic partnerships with domestic IT and global big tech firms. It also aims to automate core business functions such as HR, marketing, and customer support, as well as interdepartmental collaboration. Going forward, Lotte will foster AI specialists through employee training and expand collaboration with partner companies using AI.
