Daejeon Office of Education Discloses Last Year’s 3.4551 Trillion Won Budget Settlement on Website

On August 19, the Daejeon Office of Education released on its website the 2024 fiscal year settlement of accounts for the Special Education Finance Account, including funds, with total revenue of 3.4551 trillion won and total expenditure of 3.4222 trillion won.
This represents a decrease of 238.5 billion won in revenue and 178.7 billion won in expenditure compared to the previous year. Despite challenging financial conditions, the Daejeon Office of Education achieved 13.1 billion won in incentives by utilizing funds and ranking first nationwide in areas such as unused and unexecuted funds and prompt execution, which are evaluation categories for the Ministry of Education’s grant self-effort assessment, in order to support educational activities smoothly.
The standardized public disclosure, prepared in accordance with Ministry of Education guidelines, covers 84 items across 14 categories, including the operation status of revenue and expenditure, fund management, financial operations, and the progress of major investment projects. The special disclosure, finalized by the Local Finance Disclosure Review Committee, includes a total of five projects, such as the creation of the Educational Community Healing Park.
