Duksung Women's University Holds "Climate Guardian Student Exchange Day"
10 Teams Compete, Duksung Women's University ONRE Team Wins Grand Prize
The Duksung Women's University Climate and Environmental Crisis Response Project Group announced on the 19th that it had conducted the "Climate Guardian Student Exchange Day: Duksung Women's University × Chosun University" extracurricular program in collaboration with Chosun University.
This program was held as part of the Humanities and Social Sciences Convergence Talent Development Project (HUSS) Environmental Consortium, organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. It took place over three days from July 11 to 13 at Jeju Shinhwa World.
The main event, a card news contest, was held in cooperation with the Korea ESG Society, with society officials directly participating as judges to enhance professionalism and fairness.
A total of 10 teams participated in the competition, and after intense competition, the "ONRE: Jeju" team from Duksung Women's University won the grand prize. The winning team consisted of Kim Yurim from the Department of Early Childhood Education, Kim Eunha from the Department of Chemistry, and Park Yeonjin from the Department of Textile Design.
The "ONRE: Jeju" team received high praise for proposing a platform idea that enables tourists to voluntarily practice ESG tourism through a mobile app-based digital authentication and mileage system.

In their acceptance speech, the team members stated, "ONRE: Jeju can develop into a Jeju-style sustainable tourism platform. New ideas emerged as we combined perspectives from different majors, and it was this experience of interdisciplinary education that enabled us to win the grand prize."
