Jeonnam Province Offers Up to 50,000 Won Off in 'Accommodation Sale Festa'
Expansion of Special Disaster Area Designation and Support
Additional Benefits of 20,000 Won Compared to Other Regions
Jeonnam Province announced on August 19 that, as part of the 'Second Half Accommodation Sale Festa' organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization starting August 20, Jeonnam will offer greater accommodation discounts compared to other regions.
This measure reflects Jeonnam Province's ongoing requests since June to the National Assembly and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to expand the designation of special disaster areas, aiming to revitalize tourism in Jeonnam following the downturn caused by the 12·29 aircraft disaster.
During this Accommodation Sale Festa, general non-metropolitan regions will receive a discount of 30,000 won for accommodation rates of 70,000 won or more, and 20,000 won for rates below that amount. However, in Jeonnam, the discounts are increased to 50,000 won and 30,000 won, respectively.
Discount vouchers will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, one per person, through 40 participating online travel agency channels starting at 10:00 a.m. on August 20. Reservations and payments must be completed from the day the voucher is issued until 7:00 a.m. the following day.
