Hite Jinro announced on August 19 that it will be re-releasing the "Kelly Fresh Hop Edition" as an encore, one year after its initial launch. First introduced in August last year, the Kelly Fresh Hop Edition sold out 1.3 million cans shortly after its release, receiving an enthusiastic response from consumers. Due to continued requests for its return, the product is being launched again this year.
The Kelly Fresh Hop Edition is characterized by its exclusive use of 100% organic hops (hop pellets 0.07%) grown in Yakima Valley, Washington, through a collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops, the largest hop producer in the United States. Yakima Valley is a renowned hop-growing region with an optimal climate, attracting attention from breweries worldwide. In particular, this edition uses only the highest quality ingredients that comply with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Organic Program (NOP) standards, delivering a fresh aroma and rich flavor that fills the palate.
The product has also been enhanced with consumer-friendly features. Reflecting the "healthy pleasure" trend, a QR code has been added to the side of the can, providing transparent access to information about the ingredients and production process. The packaging features Kelly's signature amber color and a vivid hop image, creating a distinctive and differentiated design.
The Kelly Fresh Hop Edition will be available in 360ml and 453ml cans and will make its debut at the beer garden of Cirque du Soleil's "KOOZA" at Shinsegae Department Store Centum City in Busan on August 21. At the venue, consumers can enjoy not only the Kelly Fresh Hop Edition but also unique marketing experiences such as the "Somaek Certification" activity, allowing them to experience both the fresh taste and the fun that Kelly offers. Following the event, the product will be available in limited quantities through major supermarkets and home channels nationwide.
