Gongju to Kick Off 'Gongju Night Beer Festival' at Geumgang Singwan Park on August 15

A brand-new nighttime festival is set to bring a refreshing summer evening to Gongju, Chungnam. The first-ever 'Gongju Night Beer Festival' will be held at Geumgang Singwan Park from August 15 to 17, offering local craft beer, traditional liquor, food, and live performances for both residents and tourists to enjoy a special summer night.
According to the city of Gongju on August 14, the inaugural 'Gongju Night Beer Festival' is a nighttime-themed event set against the backdrop of urban nature and scenic views along the Geumgang River.
The festival will run daily from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., featuring a variety of beverages including Gongju local beer, chestnut Makgeolli, traditional liquors, fruit wines, and a diverse array of food options.
The opening ceremony will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 15 at the main stage, coinciding with the proclamation of the '2025-2026 Visit Gongju Years.' The stage will feature performances by 'Jo Jazz,' known for their emotive music, and 'NewJeansnim,' a DJ popular among the MZ generation, to elevate the festival atmosphere.
The city has also prepared attractions for families, including a water play zone, safety fences, and food booths, ensuring content that appeals to a wide range of ages and preferences.
On August 13, Mayor Choi Woncheol, along with department heads and safety management officials, conducted an on-site inspection to finalize checks on the stage, water play zone, and emergency response system.
Additionally, in anticipation of potential crowding during nighttime hours, the city has completed advance preparations through interdepartmental cooperation, covering visitor flow, parking and traffic management, and waste collection systems.
