Prime Minister Kim Minseok and a delegation from the Japan Evangelical Association (JEA) attended and delivered congratulatory remarks. Approximately 10,000 Korean church leaders and congregants participated, including Na Iyoung, President of CBS Christian Broadcasting, and Choi Hyuntak, President of CTS Christian TV.
Kim Jonghyuk, President of the Korea Christian Federation, stated in his sermon, "After liberation, God enabled this nation to overcome the ruins of war and achieve industrialization, and He granted us democratization and economic growth. When the cross is once again lifted high, the nation will be united, and even the walls of division will crumble before the power of the Gospel."
In his congratulatory address, Prime Minister Kim Minseok said, "On the 80th anniversary of liberation, I reflect on the nation envisioned by the pioneers of faith. Creating a country overflowing with freedom and justice, where the people are the true owners, is the way to honor their dedication." He added, "As the 'Prime Minister who awakens the dawn,' I pledge to do my part for a brighter Korea."
