Hapcheon Video Theme Park and Blue House Set Launch Pilot Nighttime Opening
Presenting Unique Summer Nightscape Content
for Both Residents and Tourists
Hapcheon County, Gyeongnam Province, will open the Hapcheon Video Theme Park and the Blue House Set for nighttime visits from August 19 to 31, offering both residents and tourists a unique summer nightscape experience.
The county has been gradually implementing nighttime landscape lighting through the "Hapcheon Video Theme Park Lumina Nighttime Content Creation Project," a tourism resource development initiative supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Through this pilot operation, the county plans to assess the effectiveness of the full-scale launch and analyze visitor responses and utilization.
The operating hours will extend until 10:00 p.m., with the Blue House Set open until 9:30 p.m. Admission fees remain the same as daytime rates, and to enhance the impact of the nighttime content, the interior of the Blue House Set will not be open at night. The monorail service will also be extended until 9:30 p.m. for the convenience of visitors. However, the venues will be closed on Mondays for regular maintenance.
The highlight of this nighttime content is an immersive nightscape experience that combines video and lighting. Key areas such as the theme park entrance gate, train sculpture, luminaire (gateway lighting), tram platform, the Japanese Government-General Building, and Gyeongseong Station are equipped with media facades and landscape lighting. The Blue House Set features a large-scale media facade, while the Korean Garden pond and waterfall are enhanced with hologram videos and decorative lighting. The outdoor bonsai park's "Tree of Love" is illuminated with mapping projections, creating vibrant and beautiful spaces of light throughout the video theme park and bonsai park.
