Gyeonggi Fire Service Conducts Safety Inspections of Cosmetic Ingredient Manufacturers
The Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters will conduct on-site safety inspections of cosmetic ingredient manufacturing companies in the province until September 10.
The headquarters announced on August 13 that it is taking preemptive action to prevent similar incidents and protect residents' lives and property, following an explosion at a cosmetic ingredient manufacturing plant in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, on August 3. The accident resulted in four casualties and property damage exceeding 100 billion KRW.
This safety inspection will be carried out through site visits by the heads of each fire station and center.

Kim Jaebyung, head of the Gyeonggi Provincial Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "Gyeonggi Fire Service will do its utmost to strengthen the safety net of the cosmetic manufacturing industry and create a workplace environment where residents can feel secure."
