The agreement specifies the creation of favorable project conditions and administrative support, the identification of new redevelopment candidates, the improvement of residential environments, and the expansion of housing supply to ensure housing stability for ordinary citizens and young people. To achieve these goals, the district and LH have formed a working-level consultative body in advance to discuss operational plans.
Mayor Seungro Lee stated, "With the highest number of redevelopment projects underway nationwide, Seongbuk District will use this agreement as a stepping stone to create a better urban and residential environment. We will also expand additional housing supply to further contribute to housing stability for ordinary citizens and young people."
The main project scales within the district are as follows: Jangwi District 9 (around 238-83 Jangwi-dong), approximately 84,000 square meters, 2,230 units in buildings ranging from three basement floors to 38 above-ground floors; Seongbuk District 1 (around 179-68 Seongbuk-dong), approximately 109,000 square meters, 2,086 units in buildings ranging from three basement floors to 30 above-ground floors; and Jangwi District 12 (around 231-236 Jangwi-dong), approximately 59,000 square meters, 1,386 units in buildings ranging from three basement floors to 25 above-ground floors.
